Listening to the boatman's song and gazing at the beautiful clear autumn night sky and the moon reflected on the water's surface in the canal will surely be one of the most beautiful nights of all the seasons in Yanagawa.

Enjoy an elegant and special experience that is unique to Yanagawa.

Check in : around 3:00 p.m.

Check-in will be around 3:00 p.m., the time of day when the moon is most beautiful.

(Guided Tour of the Historic Residence)

”What we want to pass on to 100 years from now” Every day from 4:30pm

Why has the Tachibana clan continued to love Yanagawa from approximately 400 years ago to the present day?

Together with the staff of Ohana, we offer an experience touring the cultural heritage sites, allowing you to connect with the culture, history, and spirit passed down by a single clan.

Dinner

Enjoy kaiseki cuisine with a moon motif in a space that was once the residence of Count Tachibana's family during the Meiji period.

Take a moon-viewing boat ride

Enjoy a boat ride while sipping sake while viewing the moon and taking in the beautiful night scenery of Yanagawa.

The boatman sings, and the boat is decorated with Japanese pampas grass and rice dumplings.

Moonlight at shoto-en

You can enjoy complimentary drinks while taking in the illuminated beauty of Shoto-en, with its magnificent black pine trees. (Drinks are available in the lobby.) Guests can enjoy it just as the lord once did.

*The veranda lounge is available from 7pm to 11pm.

Book Lounge

A book lounge where you can enjoy reading while immersing yourself in the charm of a cultural asset in a space unique to Ohana.

In keeping with the moon-viewing theme, we also offer books related to the moon and the night sky. Enjoy a quiet moment as you let your thoughts wander under the moonlight.

Breakfast 7:30-10:00

We will do our best to prepare a satisfying breakfast for you, including seaweed from the Ariake Sea, seasonal grilled fish, egg dishes, and mentaiko.

We also recommend spending some time in the morning gazing at the garden, which is a nationally designated place of scenic beauty.

※If a wedding ceremony is being held in the main hall in the evening or morning, the view will be from a room in the ryotei instead.

Morning Coffee Lounge | 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Morning drinks are available for free in the lobby. Please enjoy them after your morning walk or after breakfast.

Visit to the Tachibana Clan Archives

The Tachibana Clan Archives, which houses one national treasure and half of Fukuoka Prefecture's Important Cultural Properties, is a museum where you can see the daimyo's tools and items from the count's family that have been carefully passed down through the Tachibana clan for about 400 years.

Recommended dates for reservations

Full moon days: September 8th, October 6th (Harvest Moon), October 7th

Dates close to the full moon: September 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, and 10th

               October 4th, 5th, 8th, and 9th

✳︎The moon is fickle. Depending on the weather or clouds, it may hide its appearance.

That's why the moment when it suddenly peeks out will be an unforgettable, special moment.

I'm sure wearing a yukata in September and a kimono in October will also create wonderful memories.
